An appeal to the Mapai as the majority party in Israel to make possible a continuation of a coalition government was voiced here last night by Leon Gellman, chairman of the executive committee of the World Mizrachi Organization. Mr. Gellman was addressing the closing session of the silver jubilee convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America.
Bartley C. Crum, former member of the joint Anglo-American Commission of Inquiry on Palestine, accepted in behalf of President Truman a certificate of completion of the planting of Truman Forest in Israel. The project was financed by the Mizachi Women through the Jewish National Fund.
