Consideration of the problems confronting American, European and Palestine Jewry during the world crisis will feature the Sixteenth Annual Convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America, the national religious women’s Zionist movement, which opens its three-day deliberations today at the Hotel Congress here. A special Armistice Eve session devoted to a study of the Jews’ position in the post war world, will mark the public session this Monday evening.
Expansion of the movement, which now embraces more than 30,000 women of the orthodox Jewish faith banded together in 150 chapters throughout the country, will also be planned by the 500 delegates who will attend the sessions. An increase in its budget for Palestine social service projects is also scheduled. The delegates will also pay tribute to the memory of the late Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis and to M. M. Ussishkin, pioneer Zionist.
