A call to American Zionist youth to proceed to Israel and devote their skills towards the development of the young Jewish state was issued here today at the annual convention of the Mizrachi Hatzalr, organization of religious Zionist youth, by Rabbi Epbraim Sturm, associate director of the Young Israel Institute.
Rabbi Sturm declared that “Israel, as a pioneer frontier country, offers a challenge to young American professionals to lend their skills towards the development of the country.
The 250 delegates, from all parts of the United States and Canada, attending the four-day convention, adopted a program for a home study course in Judaism for college students to supplement their formal Jewish education. The conference also called for the observance of public kashrus by the Jewish Communal Institution.
