Mme. Schumann Heink entrained last night for New Jersey where she will sing at the State reception in honor of Professor Albert Einstein; The invitation was extended by Governor Moore, honorary chairman of the reception committee.
Outspoken in her condemnation of the Nazi oppression of the Jews, Mme. Schumann Heink said: “I am a Roman Catholic, and proud of my Jewish grandmother.”
