The Mogen Dovid conquered the Nazi Swastika in a wrestling match here between Abe Kaplan, an American Jew, and Alfred Koch of Germany.
The bout, which attracted a huge audience, took place in the large stadium of the Buenos Aires Luna Park. The Jewish athlete wore the emblem of the Mogen Dovid, while the German appeared with a large Swastika, the emblem of the Nazis.
The Nazi athlete was greeted by the audience with an outburst of hissing. He was so badly defeated that he was carried off unconscious. The victor was given a stormy ovation.
