Moises Rosenberg, editor and publisher of the only daily Jewish newspaper in Mexico, Der Weg, died here last night at the age of 38 after a protracted illness of several months. He had been the correspondent of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency in Mexico for more than ten years.
Rosenberg was one of the most active Jewish leaders in Mexico. He participated in the fight against Nazi propaganda in the country and devoted much of his time to Jewish cultural and Zionist activities. It was due to his efforts that a Spanish translation of Gratz’s History of the Jews appeared for the first time, issued by the Verdad Publishers, of which Rosenberg was the founder.
