Money sent by American relatives to the Jews in the village of Beshenkovich, Vitebsk district, was utilized for the erection of a new synagogue declares the “Emes,” Communist Yiddish daily, which complains that the Jews of that village spread rumors that the local Communists and Soviet workers are persecuting the Jewish masses.

In the same issue, the “Emes” publishes the report that the special commission sent to Beshenkovich to establish a local Soviet organization did not take steps against anti-Semitism there, making necessary the sending of a sharp warning to the local organizations of the Vitebsk district Communist party.

Tyraspol, which has a large Jewish population, was officially declared the capitol of Moldavia by the Ukrainian Government.
