The sixth annual country-wide Jewish Music Festival, sponsored by the National Jewish Welfare Board and coordinated by the National Jewish Music Council, opened today. The festival ends March 3.
At least one of the concerts held in connection with the festival will be televized and a number will be broadcast. They will feature the works of Achron, Bloch, Prokofieff, Weinberg and others. More than 1,000 Jewish community centers and agencies in various sections of the country have planned special programs and salutes during the month.
