Canadian Jewish day was featured at the weekly luncheon held by the Montreal Kiwanis Club last week. Louis Fitch, K.C., the vice-president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, was the guest-speaker. Mr. Fitch spoke on the changing aspect of the Jewish problem. Rabbi Harry J. Stern, of the Temple Emanu-El, was in the chair. This luncheon was one of a series of national luncheons sponsored by the Kiwanis Club.
The Amaluamated Clothing Workers of America dedicated their new $1,000,000 social and educational center in Chicago. The ceremonies of dedication took place in the ballhoom of the new home with Sidney Hillman of New York city, International president of the organization, and Samuel Levin manager of the Chicago joint board, as the principal speakers.
