This week has been proclaimed by the Mayor of Montreal as the “Centennial Week of the Baron de Hirsch Institute in Montreal,” an agency of the Federation of Jewish Community Services here.
The proclamation noted the “humanitarian services and activities of this outstanding welfare agency” and commended the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Institute “to all citizens of Montreal as an occasion for rededication to the precepts of service to our fellow men.”
