A 34-volume set of the Talmud and Midrash in English given by a group of “friends of learning” at Temple Emanu-El has been presented to the library of Divinity College here. Dean G.G.D. Kilpatrick, accepting the gift, said: “These are fundamental documents for the understanding of post-biblical Judaism, and they are a welcome addition to the research facilities of a Christian theological institution. We welcome particularly this gesture of friendship and cooperation between friends of learning who are of different faiths.” Rabbi Harry J. Stern made the presentation.
