Mordecai Narkiss, director of the Bezalel National Museum, died here today. He was 58. A leading expert on Jewish art, Mr. Narkiss was responsible for the museum’s acquisition after the war of some valuable collections. He was the author of books on Yemenite artcraft, Palestine coins and Chanukah art and translated a number of art books into Hebrew.
