Mordechai Jaffe, a prominent Hebrew-Yiddish poet, essayist and translator, died here yesterday at the age of 67. Born in Lithuania, he came to this country prior to the Second World War.
In 1948 he published a two-volume anthology of Hebrew poetry since the Middle Ages. An anthology in Yiddish entitled “Israel in Jewish Poetry” was published recently in Israel.
