New anti-Jewish incidents took place here today when a Jewish family attempted to move into an apartment from which it was ejected during the Vichy regime.
The clashes, which were not serious, broke out on the Bculevard Sevastapol. Shouts of displeasure at the return of the Jews were heard from the crowd which gathered in the street. Police intervention was limited to a lone plainclothes man who requested the crowd to disperse.
