The process of forcing Jews to sell their business firms is being accelerated. Every day German newspapers publish names of large Jewish-owned houses that have been transferred to “Aryan” hands.
In the last few days the drive has centered particularly on ousting Jews from the shoe business. One of the largest and oldest boot and shoe stores in northern Germany, the Max Kurnik firm in Stettin, passed into the hands of its “Aryan” manager, Theodor Keller.
The National Zeitung of Essen, Air Minister Goering’s newspaper, reports that the number of shoe shops being disposed of by Jews is growing rapidly. In towns of Pomerania, the paper says, 40 to 50 per cent of the shoe shops have already changed hands.
The wholesale textile firm of Goppel and Goldschmidt is negotiating a sale with an “Aryan” firm, Der Mittag of Dusseldorf reports. The Emil Joske firm, a large wholesale textile house, has already been sold to an “Aryan.”
The firm of Louis Kahn on Suerth-am-Rhine, has sold its large flour mill to “Aryans.”
