THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF NESSELROEDEN, NEAR KASSEL, WAS DISSOLVED AND ITS SYNAGOGUE WILL BE SOLD. ITS RELIGIOUS EFFECTS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE KASSEL COMMUNITY. THE LAST JEWISH FAMILY HAVING LEFT WANFRIEDA, NEAR ESCHWEGE, THE JEWISH COMMUNITY CEASED ITS EXISTENCE, ITS 50-YEAR-OLD SYNAGOGUE WAS SOLD AND THE ESCHWEGE COMMUNITY TOOK OVER THE JEWISH CEMETERY.
THE SYNAGOGUE OF THE COMMUNITY OF ANHOLT, IN WESTPHALIA, WHICH WAS REDUCED TO TWO FAMILIES, WAS TAKEN OVER BY THE NEARBY BOCHOLT COMMUNITY. THE THREE-FAMILY COMMUNITY IN THE TOWN OF ZINTEN DECIDED TO GIVE UP ITS SYNAGOGUE AND HOLD SERVICES IN PRIVATE HOMES.
