More than 1,000 Jews from the United States and Canada settled in Israel during the past four months, it was announced this weekend by Rabbi Mordecai Kirshblum, chairman of the Israel Aliyah Center here. He said the figure represented the largest number of individuals to leave for Israel in any four-month period in recent years. He added that the more than 1,000 settlers represented a broad spectrum of American Jewry, and that they included professionals, teachers, businessmen and university, yeshiva and Ulpan students.
