More than 200 B’nai B’rith International members gathered in New Orleans to inaugurate a new president. Moishe Smith, a Canadian and the first non-American in the post, will be inaugurated at this week’s convention, where attendees also will hear about Jewish and Israeli issues and learn what BBI is doing to help rebuild New Orleans and other Gulf Coast communities devastated by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
