More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the thirty-seventh anniversary ball of the Home of the Daughters of Jacob, which will be held Sunday evening in the grand ballroom of the Hotel Waldorf Astoria.
Patronesses of the affair are Mrs. Herbert H. Lehman, Mrs. James A. Farley and Mrs. Samuel Levy, according to an announcement by Mrs. Peter J. Schweitzer, president of the home. Mrs. Max Wolper is chairman of the ball and other committee members include Mrs. Lewis M. Franklin and Mrs. Moscs F. Dworsky. Mr. Samuel B. Rosoff is chairman of the arrangements committee.
A special committee of captains from the Junior Society of the Home will act as hostesses. Miss Alice Wolberg is chairman of this group.
Among the entertainers will be Bill Robinson, Arthur Tracy, N. T. G., George Jessel, Lou Holtz, Irence Bordoni, Saxon Sisters, Harry Hirshfield, Belle Baker, Howard Lanin’s Orchestra and a band.
