More than 50 U.S. senators have sent a letter to President Bush, suggesting that Vice President Dick Cheney should not meet Yasser Arafat. “Until Mr. Arafat and the Palestinian Authority demonstrate their commitment to end the violence we would urge that the Vice President reconsider his offer to meet with Mr. Arafat,” said the letter, signed by 52 senators. “
