Morris Kentridge, a well-known Jewish attorney and former member of Parliament, died here today at the age of 83. Born in Poland, Mr. Kentridge emigrated to South Africa in 1905. First elected to Parliament in 1914, he retained his seat until 1958 when he retired.
A fearless champion of Jewish rights and a fighter against anti-Semitism, Mr. Kentridge served as vice-president of the South African Zionist Federation and succeeded in winning over various Government leaders to the cause of Zionism.
