Morris Laub, former coordinator for Immigration to Israel, who directed Joint Distribution Committee operations in Cyprus during the War of Liberation, has been appointed executive director of the Independent Zionists of America, it was announced today by Judge Louis E. Levinthal, chairman of the new organization’s Provisional Committee. A graduate of City College and Yeshiva University, Mr. Laub served with UNRRA in Greece during World War II; was assistant secretary of the JDC and later joined the executive staff of the United Jewish Appeal.
