Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America, has accepted the invitation to be the principal speaker at the Michigan State Zionist Conference to be held Oct. 30 at Hotel Statler, it was announced.
Simon Shetzer, chairman of the conference committee, announces that the conference will be preceded by a meeting of the executive committee of the Midwest Zionist Region, to be held on Saturday night, Oct. 29, and to be attended by delegates from four states.
On the occasion of the National Fund anniversary, as well as the fiftieth anniversary of the Bilu movement, the Detroit Jewish National Fund is sponsoring a project for the planting of a Detroit Wood in the Washington Forest in Palestine. Leon Kay, president of the local National Fund Council announced the appointment and acceptance of Irwin I. Cohn to be chairman of the project.
