Schiff, was given to the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, according to an announcement made yesterday by Rabbi Max Drob, chairman of the One Million Dollar Endowment Fund Campaign. This is Mr. Schiff’s second gift of $25,000 towards this fund, of which $950,000 has already been collected in cash and pledges from the Jews throughout the country.

Mr. Schiff also gave $10,000 towards the purchase of the Israel Solomon collection and $3,000 for re-arranging the library. Mr. Schiff recently gave jointly with Mr. Felix M. Warburg, his brother-in-law, the sum of $215,000 to the Seminary for the purchase of a building adjoining the institution at 531 West 123rd Street. New York, to be used as a library building.
Mr. Schiff also presented several valuable manuscripts and a copy of the first Bible printed by Guthenberg, now in possession of the Library.
