Morton Yarmon, the director of public relations for the American Jewish Committee from 1963 to 1991, died Wednesday in Manhattan at age 89. A graduate of City College and Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, Yarmon also worked for The New York Times, the Paris Herald Tribune, the Yorkville Advance and Parade magazine.
