Disquieting reports concerning danger threatening the safety of the Jewish population of the city of Harbin, Manchuria, the region where the Chino-Russian conflict is raging, reached the Soviet press.

According to these reports, large numbers of Russian White Guards are flocking to the city. They organized there an “Actions Committee” under the leadership of the notorious pogrom leader, Tashkoff, who was responsible for many anti-Jewish pogroms during the Deniken period. What the functions of the newly organized “Actions Committee” will be are not known, but the Jewish populations is apprehensive of provocations. Heads of families are sending their wives and daughters away from the city.
