Moscow Synagogues Filled During Passover Services

Synagogues in Soviet Russia’s capital were crowded to full capacity during the Passover services. In Moscow alone half a million pounds of Matzos were sold for the holiday.

Reports from Ukraine and White Russia state that the holiday celebrations passed quietly, there being no public anti-Passover demonstrations.
