Reports disseminated by the Soviet Embassy here today indicated that the Soviet Government will permit the publication this year of several books by Jewish authors in Yiddish and some possibly with Hebrew translations
The reports, according to newspapers here, emanate from the Soviet news agency Tass but were not published in the Soviet press. However, they were communicated to foreign embassies in Moscow. They mention the names of a number of Jewish authors whose works will be published, but do not specify which of the works would appear in Yiddish and which would be published in Russian or Hebrew translation.
