Moscow’s increasing concern with the Soviet Jewish problem and, particularly, with the desire of Soviet Jews to emigrate to Israel was reflected today in announcements in the Soviet capital of the forthcoming publication of a new book attacking Israel as a pawn of the capitalist West.
The new volume will be “Behind the Scene of Israeli Politics” by V. Leonidov, well-known Communist author who has written several articles severely critical of Israel. It follows, by only a few weeks, publication of a book on Israel which severely attacked the Jewish State and the Communist movement.
The Leonidov diatribe, according to advance announcements, will describe the “aggressive adventures” of Israel’s politicians in planning attacks on the Arab countries and will also “demonstrate” the contacts between them and the “capitalists across the seas.”
