The death of Moses Katz, veteran Yiddish journalist, playwright, novelist and one of the founders of the Jewish Writers’ Union, was announced today. Katz, who until a few months ago was editor of the Philadelphia Jewish World, died yesterday at his home at the age of 77.
Before coming to Philadelphia, Katz had been associated with Abraham Cohan in organizing the Jewish Daily Forward. He is survived by a widow and son.
