Moshe Arens, Israel’s Ambassador to the United States, has accused American business forces that are interested in maintaining professional relations with Arab countries with fostering the anti-Israel propaganda that has permeated the American press during the Lebanese conflict.
“No doubt those putting forth the argument that Lebanon and the PLO are one and the same who are concerned for Saudi Arabia and commercial connections with that country,” Arens charged Tuesday in an address to the 93rd annual meeting of the Central Conference of American Rabbis meeting here at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The four-day convention ends Thursday.
