The Jewish Agency for Palestine has changed its name to the Jewish Agency for Israel, it was announced here by Rabbi Max Kirshblum, member of the Agency executive, during a farewell gathering in honor of Israel Consul Moshe Rivlin, who is returning to Israel after five years of service in New York.
Leaders of various Jewish organizations attended the gathering at the Sheraton Astor Hotel which was presided over by Rabbi Kirshblum. Mr. Rivlin will assume a high post in the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem. He was lauded by a number of speakers. Including Israel’s Consul General Simcha Pratt.
