The Arab masses show very little interest in the fight on Zionism, Mrs. Philip Snowden, wife of the British labor leader and parliamentarian, who has just returned from a visit to Palestine, declared in an address at a dinner arranged in her honor by the Keren Hayesod.
The “opposition tactics” employed by the Moslem leaders were the “most mean and contempticle” she had ever encountered, Mrs. Snewden said. The Hoslem leaders, she declared, are continually seeking to alarm the masses with dire predictions of what the Jews will do to them.
Mrs. Snowden vigorously defended the young men pioneers (chaluzim) and the young women and branded the charges of immorality against them as base untruths.
Incidentally, Mrs. Snowden said, she had not met a single Bolshevik in Palestine.
