At the annual meeting of the Los Angeles Federation of Jewish Welfare Organizations, George Mossbacher, popularly known as “Uncle” George, who for the past fifteen years has been the continuous president of that organization, flatly refused to accept a renomination. His successor will be Jay B. Jacobs, a pioneer resident of Los Angeles, communal worker and vice-president of the Simon, Levi Co., wholesale grocers.
