Ninety-eight young women, nineteen of whom received special awards, were graduated by the Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing.
It was the fiftieth commencement, the school having granted 2,040 diplomas since its founding. During the past year the school had a daily census of 287 students and forty probationers, according to the Hospital Information and Service Bureau of the United Hospital Fund, one of the largest nurses training schools in the city.
The exercises were held in the Blumenthal Auditorium and were followed by a reception in the Nurses’ Home. The address to the graduating class was made by Dr. Stephen S. Wise. Hugo Blumenthal, president of the board of the School of Nursing, welcomed the large audience and Miss Elizabeth A. Greener, superintendent of nurses and principal of the school, presented her annual report.
