The growing anti-Semitic movement in Rumania, which assumes threatening proportions and is against the will of King Carol, may lead to the dissolution of all political parties in the country, it was stated here today.
At the same time it was announced that Dr. Vaida-Voevod, ex-Premier and the present leader of the anti-Jewish movement in the country, may have to resign from the National Peasant party, in view of the opposition by leaders of his party to his anti-Jewish campaign.
The conservative elements in the Peasant party, as well as in other parties, are very much alarmed by the demands of their extremist groups, which are directed both against the Jews and against the present regime and which are not in the interests of the country, the Morgenblatt reports today.
The paper indicates that the implied threats to dissolve the political parties is another reason for growing alarm in the ranks of the conservative elements in the existing parties.
