The Jewish Agency for Palestine denied to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today that a proposal was being considered to postpone the twentieth biennial World Zionist Congress, scheduled for August 3, until October.

It is understood that Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the Zionist Organization of America, and Louis Lipsky, American member of the World Zionist Executive, have again cabled Zionist leaders here demanding that the congress be held in Washington, rather than in Switzerland, as scheduled.

Support for American Zionists’ demands that the twentieth World Zionist Congress be held in Washington was voted at a Tel Aviv meeting of the General Zionists’ Group “B.”
