A drive to secure the naturalization of all Jewish residents in St. Paul and Minneapolis was launched today by the St. Paul B’nai Brith. In view of the tightening of federal regulations towards unnaturalized aliens the B’nai Brith council at its executive meeting decided to act to prevent the deportation of unnaturalized Jewish residents here.
Jesse B. Calmenson has been appointed chairman of the committee which is conducting the campaign. An appeal has been made to those not previously naturalized to report to B’nai Brith headquarters here where arrangements for naturalization will be made.
