A petition campaign for millions of signatures protesting American participation in the Berlin Olympic games has been launched by the Move the Olympics Committee, it was announced today by S.K. Maccabbee, chairman, 170 Broadway.
Petition blanks have been sent to interested organizations accompanied by a letter quoting the Amateur Athletic Union handbook of 1935 as stating that only amateurs certified by the A.A.U. in track and field, swimming, boxing, wrestling, gymnastics, ice-hockey, bobsleighing and coasting can participate. Petitions must be returned by Nov. 28.
