Mr. Harry Viteles, who was formerly in charge of the field work of the European Reconstruction Department of the Joint Distribution Committee, and in 1925 went out to Palestine to conduct the affairs of the Central Bank of Co-operative Institutions in Palestine, is unable to accept membership of the Executive of the Jewish Agency, to which he was elected at the last Jewish Agency meeting in Basle, because the English and American economic bodies whom he represents in Palestine are unable to agree to his participation in the Executive.
