Mrs. Albert Einstein and Mrs. Henry Morgenthau Jr., wife of the Secretary of the Treasury, will be guests of honor at the annual luncheon and meeting of the Women’s Division of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies, to be held Thursday at the Hotel Commodore, it was announced by Mrs. Sidney C. Borg, chairman.
Following the luncheon there will be a symposium on “Social Work under the New Deal” with Mayor LaGuardia and Commissioner William L. Hodson as speakers. Mrs. Samuel A. Lewisohn is chairman of the symposium. A business meeting also will be held at which reports on the year’s work will be submitted and officers elected for the ensuing year. Mrs. Paul Baerwald is chairman of the nominating committee.
Arrangements for the luncheon are in the hands of a committee headed by Mrs. Richard J. Bernhard and including Mrs. Abram I. Elkus, Mrs. Edgar A. Hellman, Mrs. Charles E. Heming, Mrs. Walter A. Hirsch, Mrs. Paul Klingenstein, Mrs. Joseph L. Lilienthal, Mrs. Henry Siegbert, and Mrs. Nathan Straus Jr.
