Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Horowitz, wife of Samuel Horowitz of Horowitz Brothers & Margareten, matzoh bakers, took place yesterday morning from the home of the deceased, 369 East 4th Street. Rabbi A. S. Pfeffer officiated and the body was interred in Union Field Cemetery. Mrs. Horowitz died Tuesday at her home after an illness of several months. She was an active worker and supporter in many Jewish philanthropic institutions.
