Mrs. Danuta Trybus and Dr. Maria Spiewak of Poland were presented here with the “Righteous Gentile” medal on behalf of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem by Paul Kedar, Israel’s Consul General in New York. The two had saved the lives of Dr. Sabina Zimering and her family during World War 11. Zimering is the only surviving member of her family and is now living in Chicago. The presentation of the award took place at the Israel Consulate Tuesday.
