Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, wife of the noted Jewish philanthropist, who arrived here today, declared to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that she was glad to find such an optimistic atmosphere prevailing in Palestine. She said that she would here await her son, Edward, who would be arriving from Persia, and they would tour the colonies together, accompanied by Dr. Maurice Hexter, and Dr. Judah L. Magnes.
The Goel Tzedec Congregation of Toronto will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary by a fourday program. There will be a congregational service on Friday night, December 23, on which occasion Rabbi Samuel Sachs, spiritual head of the congregation, will deliver the sermon. Saturday morning, December 24, the Junior Congregation will hold a joint service with their elders. The Sunday School will celebrate on Sunday morning, December 25.
The closing event will be in the form of a congregational banquet, to be given in the Synagogue Chambers on Monday night, December 26. Rabbi Jesse Bienenfeld, of Adath Jeshurun, Syracuse, N. Y., will be the guest speaker.
