Mrs. Felix M. Warburg, wife of the banker, was given a reception yesterday afternoon by more than 600 members of the Y. W. H. A. at their quarters at 31 West 110th street.
Mrs. Warburg, who is president of the association’s board of directors, was introduced by Mrs. Ray Schwartz, executive director, who described her as “Our First Lady,” known to all for “the things she does, says and writes.”
In a short, impromptu talk, Mrs. Warburg, declaring she felt “like a mixture of Mrs. Roosevelt and a prima donna” expressed regret that there was little time in “our daily life to get intimate with each other.” “Here,” she said, “in our smaller community I am trying to get acquainted with all the girls.”
A cheek for $200, contributed by various groups of the Y. W. H. A., was turned over to Mrs. Warburg to be used for the Happy Day Fund. Cantor S. Perlberg sang the benediction. Among those present were Mrs. Samuel Rothafel, wife of “Roxy,” Mrs. Louis Oresman and Mrs. Isaac Kubit, wife of the ex-judge.
