The sum of $81,000 is bequeathed in the will of the late Mrs. Carrie Guggenheim, who died recently in California, for equal distribution among nine charitable institutions in New York and California.
In addition, Mrs. Guggenheim left the sum of $25,000 to institutions for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
The nine institutions which benefit are: Hebrew Orphan Asylum; Babies Hospital; Hospital for Ruptured and Crippled; New York Association for the Blind; Montefiore Home and Hospital for Chronic Diseases, of New York; Anti-Vivisection Society, Crippled Children’s Guid; Salvation Army; Industrial Department, of Los Angeles and the Cedars of Lebanon Hospital, Hollywood.
