Mrs. Daniel Guggenheim will shortly receive a distinguished service certificate from Mayor La-Guardia for providing the free concerts by the Goldman band during 1934, it was announced yesterday afternoon at a meeting of the newly organized Municipal Art Committee in the Board of Estimate chamber at City Hall.
Mrs. Guggenheim has been adjudged to have contributed the most to the cause of art and music for public enjoyment during the year. She is a member of the committee, to which Mrs. Bernard S. Deutsch, Mrs. Samuel Levy and Harold Bauer, the pianist, have also been appointed.
