Mrs. S. H. Hartley has been named director of the New York Hadassah School of the Jewish Woman to succeed Dr. Trude Weiss Rosmarin, who has relinquished the post “because of the fundamental divergence of policy between Dr. Rosmarin and Hadassah, and because of Dr. T. W. Rosmarin’s unwillingness to be responsible to Hadassah for her administration.”
Mrs. Hartley also holds the position as cultural chairman of the New York branch.
Classes of the Hadassah School for the Jewish Woman will continue to meet as scheduled in the Central Jewish Institute Building, 125 East 85th Street. Classes are free.
