Mrs. Paulina Korenblit, wife of imprisoned Russian Jewish dentist Mikhail Korenblit, appealed on his behalf today to Dr. Irving Rothstein, president of the District of Columbia Dental Society. Dr. Rothstein said he would ask the Society to ask the American Dental Association to intercede with the International Red Cross and the United Nations Human Rights Commission. Korenblit is serving a seven-year term imposed in Leningrad.
Another hand grenade – the fourth in a week -was thrown early this morning in the Gaza Strip. It was aimed at a passing car near Dier el Nalah. The hand grenade missed. There were no casualties. Police and security forces launched a search for the perpetrators.
Defense Minister Moshe Dayan predicted last night that President Sadat would try to muster pressure on Israel from Europe and said he did not see the possibility of an early peace settlement with Arab states. Addressing 200 UJA leaders from the US, Dayan said Sadat would also try to generate pressure on Israel from the US. but would wait until after the Presidential elections.
