The late Gladys L. Lit left the bulk of an estate estimated to value between $500,000 and $1,000,000 to be divided equally between the local Federation of Jewish Charities and the Community Chest. Mrs. Lit was the widow of Jacob D. Lit, a founder of the Lit Brothers department store.
